Letting go of dreams

It has occurred to me that I am in the process of letting go of my dreams and hopes that I have held on to for my whole life.  The things that I thought I would never stop doing, I have stopped.  I am finding that I have to find new dreams and hopes and think that the prospect should be quite fun.

Re-inventing one's self takes a lot of thought and work, which is probably why I am not sleeping much anymore.  The experts say that as one gets older they sleep less and I suppose that is because most people are re-inventing themselves and can't always figure out how to do it. 
So if one tired because of the work or lack of sleep?
